So I am determined to give up the soda, especially my vice, Cherry Coke. I am weaning myself off of it since I get wicked caffeine headaches if I go too long without one. I need to replace the soda with something else, something besides water. Something tasty and cold ( Read more... )

Sometimes I like a little sparkling water or mineral water (fizzy) mixed with juice. It's *fairly* sweet...maybe that would work?

I applaud you for trying to quit soda. Best of luck, mama!

Good luck! I've been trying to quit pop too, but can't totally give it up. What helps at home though is crystal lite and tangerine lime fizzy water. And I make sun tea in the summer. Even though it's supposedly full of dangerous bacteria, I still drink it. I also like that I can add splenda to it and skip the sugar, the same with iced coffee.

Have you seen that they have Cherry Coke Zero now? MY SAVIOR!!!! I <3 Cherry Coke, too, I haven't had one forever, now I can indulge occasionally without feeling guilty! It was hard for me to switch from regular to diet, so what I did was I just didn't drink any pop at all for a month, then drank a diet, and it tasted fine! Regular is way too sweet for me to handle now. I don't know if that would work with your headaches, though. I've never really been dependent on pop though, I really love water and most days that's all I drink.

I love the Snapple Unsweetened. Drinking sweetened tea really isn't better than drinking soda, but the unsweetened has no HFCS and no calories. I think it tastes good!
