So for the last few days/weeks, I've been seeing quite a few Youtube videos show up in comments to really old/unused communities. (SGA/DC ones especially.)

Mostly I've just been deleting the vids as they've cropped up, since they're usually in replies to my comments, not actually *my* communities.

La La Land Records has announced some soundtracks of interests. They're reissuing their limited edition Batman: Animated Series vol 1 soundtrack that's out of print. They're leaving off the two bonus tracks from the initial release. Then they're publishing another volume and possibly planning more in the future, including Superman and Justice ( Read more... )

Finally got around to stitching my latest fannish project of Bucky Barnes and Natasha Romanoff aka Winter Soldier and Black Widow. All thanks to chujo-hime for sharing the pattern. Asking the livejournal/fannish hivemind, what do people use to convert chaptered LJ fic into ebooks? I'm using the "Grab my Book" plug-in for Firefox to snag stargate_ren. Is there are other alternatives?

As an update: stargate_ren wound up 120 separate files into one ebook. Wow. Grab My Books seemed to handle it fine. The only thing it really didn't like/know what to do ( Read more... )

Everyone has their "guilty pleasure" reads. Mine appear be Melissa De La Cruz's YA Blue Bloods series that mix vampires and Gossip Girls and a little Paradise Lost for good measure. I've now on the fourth book "The Van Alen Legacy" with its switching POVs every chapter; I now understand how GRRM fans feel being tempted to just read the chapters ( Read more... )

Ray Bradbury has died. At 91, he had a long and creative life, but darned if we didn't think he'd live forever.

The New Yorker has unlocked his last piece from their SF Issue and feels surprisingly apt.
