i-to-i is the most flexible program I have found. the returning volunteers loved it because the program is designed for independent travelers. you decide where you go, how long you stay and even what type of work you do. I'd say definitely go for it! I'm excited.

Um..You might want to talk to Luke regarding the i-to-i. I believe that is the program he always badmouthed. The one where he paid all of this money to go for a certain amount of time and none of what he paid went to the actual place...

Yipes. I did a lot of research on them, talked to them on the phone a number of times and also talked to returning volunteers. I know he is not fond of the Peace Corps...oh well. It was also the program with the smallest overhead costs. Most similar programs started by charging 3-5 thousand dollars for 2-5 weeks in the bush somewhere which is insane. I'll check with Luke but i looked into it rather deeply so I think it's fine.
