Hey, my English friend brought back some Absinthe with her. We tried it last night. I wasn't entirely impressed, but we all pretty much just had a 1/2 shot of it straight. Is there a better way of consuming it?

Oh yeah! The correct way to drink it is to take a sugar cube and place it in a metal spoon and suspend it over a glass, then pour the absynthe over the cube, into the glass, then ignite the cube. When the cube goes out, pour a bit of water over the cube into the glass, then drop the cube into the absinthe break it up with the spoon, and stir the sugar into the drink.

Yeah, that's what the bottle suggested doing. Unfortunately, we had no sugar, spoons, or means of lighting it anyways. Maybe next time, though. Hope all is well. Sounds like it is.
