Shaun is for now only spinning on Saturdays at Waterworks. It seems that the owner Don has decided that he wants to go in another direction musically on Friday nights. He's gone from Suck to Blow. We're running out of options fast in this one horse town.

Unfortunately, the fact is, goth/industrial just doesn't make nearly as much money as pretty much any other scene in our town. I think part of that is lack of promotion on campus. Don's not necessarily catering to campus kids, so he has to do what is going to make him money. And in this economy, people our age *are* going out less. I can't say I blame Don for trying to stay afloat in these times. Brother's, I didn't kinow about, but it's been along time coming. They are the worst businessmen in the club scene. They've been given so many legal warnings it's ridiculous.

Sean's an awesome dj, so I don't understand why Don doesn't just have Sean dj other stuff. What direction are they trying to go? Does anyone know? I mean is it totally different from what Sean was doing, like Jazz or Blues?

I don't think that's it, there are NO goth people on campus these days. I think that the goth scene is going the way of disco, punk rock, glam, etc... a fond memory.

I understand your sentiment, but (as I was about to email this to you, thought i'd share it will all)...I've been in Tallahassee long enough to say, this stuff happens all the time. We don't have the bigger scenes of bigger cities, but something always comes up. I wouldn't start worrying just yet. Brothers is rumored to be reopening as something else, the Beta/Engine/Bar/Room is still working out their schedule as well and who knows what the next bar/club/house party situation will pop up
