According to Limbaugh, it's because black voters are huge discriminatory hypocrites. This ignores the fact that California, great state that it is, boasts a sizable crazy hick population. I also believe I read something that suggested Mormons bankrolled Prop 8, but I could also be making that up entirely. Reading is hard.

Maybe gays will finally have civil rights once all the baby boomers are dead. Though I expect this thing to go back to the courts despite the fact it passed.
