Me: I think they coincidentally have located their neutrino-shooter thing right next to a tiny wormhole. I can just see other things from the lab going missing and turning up in Italy. "Where are my cufflinks?"
Ian: *gives me a funny look*
Me: *shrugs* I'm not sure why they wear cufflinks in the lab. Must be a Swiss thing.

Do you have any idea what a neutrino shooter looks like?

None whatever! Is it big?

We're talking at least a small building. Judging from the paper I linked to below, this one is a decent-sized building. Underground. That, when in operation, is full of radiation.

So, unfortunately, this makes it a bad place to wear cufflinks, or even be in when it's actually shooting neutrinos.

As evidence, please permit me to show you this: http://arxiv.org/abs/1109.4897
If you look at the pdf that you can download on the right-hand side of the page, page 4 has a pretty picture (for physicists, at any rate) of the neutrino shooter in question, and page 5 has a more technical picture.

Also, please feel free to ask any questions you have.
