Two of my touchstones for quality action flicks are Die Hard and the lesser-known Ronin. Adalia's driving had the gritty feel of the chase scenes in the latter movie.

Okay, I still need to teach my eighteen year old to drive, I want a magically protected SUV.

Great action - and I like how Buffy sort of sees Xander as her example of how to handle these situations.

To a certain extent. I don't think I could take myself seriously if I had Xander fall out of a speeding car and wind up little more than stunned.

That's more self-referential, regarding the almost unreasonable level of intensity to what Xander did in Sparrow.
