Blankets.Lots of cotton blankets. You can use them for everything. I recommend cloth diapers and homemade wool diaper covers rather than disposable diapers or nasty rubber pants- cheaper and more comfy for baby not to mention better for diaper rash 1 thermometer-digital is good tiny nail clippers (more than one because you WILL lose them) 1 car seat a wind up baby swing - mine loved this and I found it incredibly helpful when writing or making dinner gas drops(the only medicine I found necessary for my kids during their first years besides infant tylenol) a basinette on rollers-
If you're breastfeeding I reccommend a good nipple cream If you aren't I strongly recommend you use silicone nipples and glass bottles only (they are less fragile than you think and much better for baby)
