For those of you who know Samantha Hale, (there are only a couple of you on my list) if you didn't already hear, her father , Brian Hale, died at a little after midnight this morning. From what the doctor he was seeing had to say, it was a combination of a few things, but mostly him being too stubborn to take any treatments, and his heart finally

I don't know her, but I know of her. Death is never easy, even those times that people are prepared for it. Please send my regards to her. And as cheesy as it may sound, he's somewhere spreading his jokes. With any luck, he'll bump into my godmothers and he will have met his match. (Just something to help you guys crack a tiny smile...if possible).

thanks for posting this. I'm actually glad I found out this way, so I'm not crying on the phone to her. I'll call her tomorrow.

No problem. A lot of people were just randomly calling her yesterday and she had to keep giving them the news. It has been taking a toll on her, so I figured I'd tell the few mutual friends we had about it so she didn't have to go through the whole shpiel again.
It broke my heart to hear the news ... and I'm still horribly torn up about it ... so I can't even imagine how she feels. She's surrounded by friends and family, though ... so she's troopin' through.
