Well, there are quite a few cakes that need to have their ingredients ground till smooth and creamy, and it takes time - but ok, maybe half an hour is a bit of an exaggeration. xD Still, fifteen/twenty minutes (or even ten, if you're feeling extra lazy :D) can easily give your hands a hard time, too. ;)
