(no subject)
Today I went op-shopping with Kim (dreamon_junky) today. Op-shopping = ♥ ... The only problem was that I bought stuff then I found funkier stuff at another op-shop and I couldn't take the other stuff back....le sigh...Kim will know what I'm talking about......FUNKY RETRO SUITCASE ='(
Anyway, these are the things I bought
I bought these records for 50c. I will either put them on my wall or keep them in good nick so I can use them on my DJ turntables when I finally get them for christmas!! One of them is "Heaven is a place on earth"...great 80's track, I believe it's already been remixed but apparently the remix is shit...so I'll strive to do better!
One of the random record covers it came in. And I mean RANDOM...an 80's record in a 50's case?? The case is so retro....I will DEFINATELY be using it...maybe for art, I dunno eh.
This tie is so much like my old school tie it's not funny. I was like "What!? What's this doing at an op-shop in Port Macquarie!?" All thats missing is the emblem. Funky tie tho...$1.50.
This suitcase was $4!!! It was a total op-shop MUST HAVE. It's the ugliest suitcase in the whole world...but I love it to death.
CCCCAAAASSSSEEEE. Note the sexy buckles, a preventative measure so I don't become another Schapelle Corby. I saw a funkier suitcase for $5...I decided just then I'm going and picking it up tomorrow if it's not sold already.
Ugly blue cordoroy (sp?) pants...$7...I will wear these EVERYWHERE.

There was also a lady lawn bowls hat I picked up for $3...using for Bec's (xgeishax) party on Tuesday...but Tristan has it somewhere....*angst*
There are around 5 op-shops in Port....but 3 of them are fucking good. The other two are those ones that 'claim' to be a vintage op-shop but all they do is buy off other op-shops and sell the items at inflated prices. Like, Kim found the coolest leather jacket and it was $100. That is not a true op-shop my friends.
Tonight I just went out with Fiona and caught up with Emma (h0tpinklipgl0ss)...twas fun.
Tomorrow I have drama rehearsals...again....and I'm studying my arse off for trials.
I'm staying for 2 nights next week with my aunty in Redfern. It will be an experience. But I'm excited...I come down next WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!! I check my shifts tomorrow to double check that I have Saturday off...then I can go clubbing on Friday night and come back up in time for Alex's dinner thing. Sounds like a plan!
