Bush wasn't accepting any outside help because his pride is so fucked. He also decided NOT to send in his troops to help out because "no one had requested help". What. in. the. bloody. hell? I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure people are going to ASSUME their president is going to step in and help out when something as horrible and awful as this occurs. Sigh. Sad, just frickin' sad.
