So everybody got political, and since I'm such a damn poser I figured I would follows suit with my first livejournal entry in what I can only approximate to be a geographic era. Mere's renewal of the infamous and lovable Politics Test started the mood, and the results of both the test and the elections put me in the mood for some kinky political

blah blah blah lol, I am NOT ECONOMICALLY PERMISIVE. lol. I don't know. I think that we should have only two parties so whatever...I doubt that it is this was due to a lck of education however i think it is simply because americans deep down have this want for it to stay the way it has been, and um....I like it that way so lsugflzjkhgfkujwegrhd

Americans do enjoy the status quo. It's dangerous to say that's a good reason not to consider change however...the status quo right now is overwhelmingly against gay civil unions, for example, one issue I know you feel rathr strongly about.

I believe that the two-party system reflected the two-sidedness of government in the past when liberalism meant big government and conservativism meant small government and states rights. As we gradually lost true conservativism, as many generations found that they had to battle it out over economic and social issues and fit into the current molds, the system we have now developed, and Libertarian-aligned minds lost a party. After countless years of progress, though I feel there is a while to go, we are close to another point in history where the government debate can be more big-small and less big how?

I believe America is a democracy and deserves a choice. I can work with a two-party system, but if Amercans are ready to embrace a third, don't they deserve the opportunity?
