What are the impressions above and below the rash from? Hello...stumbled on your LJ a few days back and sent e-mails that maybe didn't get to you so I'll try leaving a comment. Drop me a line when you're back in Honolulu if you're hanging around for awhile: kkawaoka(at)hawaii(dot)edu.
Sorry, the Big Breakfast and the ad campaign were two different thoughts. I like the Big Breakfast, and yes, it is the same as usual. I almost always get the Big Breakfast, unless I get the sausage & egg sandwich thing (forget its official name...) which is the exact same thing, in a sandwich. :-p Except no hash brown.
I don't like "i'm loving it". It's too hip for me, if you look at all the pictures and stuff that go with the ad, I don't get it. Has nothing to do with fast food. The guy on the motorcycle with his gf saying "riding together brings us closer" the mom and daughter playing in the rain "even if the weather's wet we stay active" or whatever. (I'm paraphrasing.) What on earth does this have to do with McDonald's food? Sheesh. And I hate the lower case "i" in "i'm".
Actually from what I understand, the idea is to promote a more active and healthy lifestyle, and McDonald's is trying to appeal to the more health conscious people who stop coming because they're on diets. Hence they add the Fruit and Walnut Salad (Excuse me sounding like a spokesman for McDonald's) which according to the nifty little card that comes with your fork provides more than the recommended amount of fruit you should eat in a day...and also they have the fruit and yogurt parfait (lowfat yogurt) and the Premium Salads...and kids can have apple dippers in their happy meals instead of fries, they can have milk instead of fruit punch, stuff like that. I think it was last year we started the "Adult" happy meal, in which you can get a bottled water/drink and a premium salad and we stick it in this weird looking golden arch happy meal box and you get a free stepometer that counts how many steps you take, but it's kinda junk because I could just be standing there and it would keep counting. We had to wear it during the promotion,

This September 2005 is the drying month on record in history of Maryland and possibly the driest month on record for the entire Eastern Seabord. August was also a very dry month. When there were no rain to wash away pollen, dust, particulates and other pollutants accumulate in the air, allergy will be more frequent especially in a polluted city such as New York and Boston. If you went to Columbia University you might already have that allergy all the time. Wang the wisest computer in the world.

The Big Breakfast has been a steady menu item for years now...so I doubt it would have anything new on it...
I could be wrong, the mainland might be promoting it more.
