I know I'm not the only one. Thousands of us, as children, must have longed for a taste of Turkish delight after reading about it in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. What was it? What did it look like? How would it taste? Was this stuff even real

LOL, I got some Turkish Delight from New York once, and my roommate at the time, who was actually Turkish, said that it was pretty authentic. And it was pretty much exactly what you described! Can't imagine how anyone could eat the entire box...though I did like the rosewater flavor. *:o)

English food always sounds so supremely yummy in books. The food in Harry Potter sounds really good too. I have a sneaking suspicion that I won't actually like steak and kidney pie though.
