Oh Wheatley, Wheatley, Wheatley. You sad, stupid, miserable little thing, you.

It's weird, having that feeling, where you are disgusted by something, but simultaneously pitying and fully understanding. It's obvious what he's going through, and it's heart wrenching. That just doesn't make it okay, or even any less despicable. Strike three, bud.

And after that last chapter, one composed pretty much entirely of fluff with some mild foreboding, this is quite the jolt back to reality.

And man, the way you write the Co-ops is great, too. The little tidbits we got of them before was great, but they have really shined in these longer segments. I can easily hear their little squeals and whistles, imagine their biting partnership. It's perfectly clear that they have no understanding of how what they're doing could be bad, or even protestable by anything logical--humans are just strange, illogical creatures.

Aw, thank you! I did have doubts about the co-op bots, because having played through co-op with my best friend I couldn't help having much sort of... fluffier feelings about how they relate to each other and the world around them than I gave them here, but one of the things I enjoyed exploring through this story was different kinds of artificial sentience, and I wanted to show something distinctly different from Wheatley's, in them.

Wheatley's a mess but he's got some kind of moral framework, or at least the ability to construct one, and he has a conscience, even if he makes the worst possible decisions despite it. The bots, like you say, have no real moral compass apart from what's logical and what they've been instructed to do. They don't have any kind of basic humanity, which is why GLaDOS finds them so unsatisfying to test.

Have you ever thought about writing an e-book or guest authoring on other websites? I have a blog based upon on the same subjects you discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information. I know my viewers would enjoy your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e mail.

Really?! This ending just broke my heart. There really needsto be a sequel, where Chell meets up with Wheatley or else I will want to kill myself. Beautifully written, I could really feel how Chell and Wheatley were feeling though.

My god, I've been ignoring my homework thinking of a happy ending for this. But wait, was there really any love between them? I couldn't tell. I just hope there was. Man, I feel like crying now.

NONONONONONO! WHEATLEY!!! GO DOWN THERE AND DO SOMETHING! I DON'T KNOW WHAT! JUST GO DO SOMETHING AND SEE CHELL AGAIN! PLEASE!
