One more movie note

Shrek 3 = good stuff - funny and touching just like its predecessors

Spider-man 3 = sucked BIG TIME (When the theatre audience starts laughing everytime the hero cries, you know something's wrong with the movie.)

I saw SM3 yesterday. I'm glad I wasn't the only one put off by the near-constant weeping. I'm all for conflicted heroes and all, but for goodness' sakes, man, pull it together.
Also, what was with the wishy-washy villains? Why won't they let the bad guys be bad guys? Why must they have dying children and parent issues? Why not just greed or anger coupled by a general love of mayhem? I was very confused.

OMG and so cheesy too. I mean, why not make him cool like James Bond, instead of Broadway dancer/bad Travolta/emo boy?

I totally agree about the villians also. Lame. Why hire good actors if you're not going to let them act? Topher Grace looked like the only one in the whole movie that was having fun being bad.
