For years mine inexplicably oscillated like this.

Sadly you do get surgeons removing the wrong kidney, pilots landing at the wrong airport and even trains going to the wrong station.

But in all those cases there are consequences for the people who get it wrong. That is not so for the tax authorities it seems.
