I feel that I should know what this is, but-- I don't remember.

Well, yeah -- a miniature one. I mean, the real one's a lady now, but that's her proper shape.

Yeah, fine.

Just like I've maybe forgotten something important.

[Rose is concerned and it shows on her face and comes across in her voice.]

S'a toy TARDIS looks like.

Yeah, okay. [ Pause. ] So, what's a TARDIS then?

[ Amy remembers having talked to Rose in the City. She just doesn't remember any mention of time travel, the Doctor or anything to do with any of that. ]

[Rory comes over, sits on the couch beside Amy.]

Amy? This is going to sound really weird, but bear with me. What, from your point of view, have we been doing for the past...couple of years?

[ Yeah, that does sound really weird-- but if there's one person she trusts, has always trusted, it's Rory. ]

Spent time in boring, boring Leadworth, of course. Couple trips to London, new place together after we got married. You want a dog. I got a modelling job, that's fun at least. Why are you asking me this?

[waitsforever]

Right, well, okay. [He sighs.] Curse of the day is to make me look utterly mad, I suppose. That's a TARDIS. It belongs to the Doctor. [He is going to sound so stupid...ah well. He gathers himself together.] You and I..travel through time and space with him. He's a time travelling alien. ...THAT's what that is.
