1.What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? drove a hybrid, went to mexico, went to a bunch of other new places (texas, los angeles, etc), threw a party at my house, got stress hives, stayed up for 60 hours straight, etc.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions? don't make 'em
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Deanna? my cousin
4. Did anyone close to you die? nope
5. What countries did you visit? texas, mexico, the confederate states of america
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? satisfaction
7. What date(s) from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? i don't do dates
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? making it through first semester
9. What was your biggest failure? almost not making it through first semester. also, that night with the drunken and the hufflepuff.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? both, especially injury. two sprained ankles, a broken toe. plus all the standards (my eye, my jaw, my foot)
11. What was the best thing you bought? "stagecoach"
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? joan cusack, my freshmen, paul farmer, molly+emily, sarah gruver
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? haverford college dining services, oh, you know...
14. Where did most of your money go? food, random trips to new york, food. coffee.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? going to andrew bird and bright eyes, devendra banhart, the xc voyage, the end of first semester, haverfest, (occasionally) drug abuse, going home, driving, late night red berries with lucas mcnamara
16. What song will always remind you of 2005? oh man. golddigger.

i. Happier or sadder? hm. sadder, probably.
ii. Thinner or fatter? FAT
iii. Richer or poorer? poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? sleep, eat delicious food, be in other countries, write better papers
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? write terrible papers, work, have stress hives, dwell, be angsty
20. How did you spend Christmas? with the fam -- presents and breakfast with rog, linda, and ted, then up north to the uncle's to spend time with my crazy aunt margaret
21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2005? oh jesus. embarrasing? my life can be kind of embarrassing most of the time.
22. Did you fall in love in 2005? umm... nope. well, if you count john lardas. but i think, in a way, and in the words of savage garden (more or less), i loved him before i knew him.
23. How many one-night stands? i don't even know what that means
24. What was your favorite TV program? the OC, freaks and geeks, anything i could watch on dvd
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? i don't really "hate"
26. What was the best book you read? i have no idea.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? pretentious indie rock! yes! also, johnny cash
28. What did you want and get? a brita pitcher, a french press, a decorative throw, kugel, your mom
29. What did you want and not get? adrien brody
30. What was your favorite film of this year? stagecoach
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 19; started the day off with a lot of marijuana, ended it with a lot of champagne, in gummere basement with jesse, molly, and more
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? knowing what i want to do with my life
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? anything that fits. men's dress shirts. big earrings.
34. What kept you sane? the lovely and talented emily+molly, late night red berries with lucas mcnamara, brattleboro, not much else
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? john wayne, jimmy stewart, adrien brody, jon stewart, paul farmer
36. What political issue stirred you the most? judicial activism and its threat to the supreme court, keeping prayer in schools and the 10 commandments in courthouses (see justice sunday II for more information)
37. Who did you miss? brattleboro, emily+molly, vermont, gia folks, brazil, my parents, my dog, jesse+dan... a lot of people.
38. Who was the best new person you met? tie between george and phebe
