1. Who was your best friend? Can I pick two? Debra and Monica.
2. What sports did you play? What? No.
3. What kind of car did you drive? '87 Civic.
4. It's Friday night, where were you? Probably at home watching TV or reading, though there was a small chance I was over at a friend's house or hanging out at Ram's Horn or something.
5. Were you a party animal? Haha. No.
6. Were you considered a flirt? Haha. Ha. No.
7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Dude, my clarinet was my life.
8. Were you a nerd? Most definitely!
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No, that was something that only happened to the other kids.
10. Can you sing the fight song? I don't even know if we had one.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. and Mrs. Brakke (junior and senior honors English, respectively) and Sra. Lewis (Spanish). The mister was a Bogart fan with a sadistic streak who loved nothing more than to connect anything and everything to Moby-Dick (which explains his former students' unhealthy obsession with everything white whale...
whitewhalewhat, what?), and the missus was a sweet older lady who amiably indulged her husband's Machiavellian side. The señora was a flamboyant drama teacher who, with rare exception, refused to conduct her Spanish classes in any language but Spanish.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? At a table with my close friends and several acquaintances.
13. What was your school's full name? Waterford Mott High School. I don't remember the full name of the dude it was named after.
14. School mascot? Ah, I know that one! The corsairs.
15. Did you go to Prom? Yep. No date, though. I remember them playing a lot of Eminem. And I remember dancing with a dude who would later become one of my managers at a local movie theater and who would only remember me after several weeks of only finding me vaguely familiar.
16. If you could go back and do it over, would you? OH HELL NO. Though admittedly, high school wasn't all that bad. It was middle school that sucked the big one.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? I remember my hair was dyed red at the time, and one of the teachers (whom I'd never had a class with) thought it looked awesome. Um, I guess I'm not an overly sentimental person.
18. What was your fav. class? Senior honors English. Only 11 of us stuck it out the whole year, so toward the end it was like a fun little geeky club.
19. Where were you on senior skip day? Oh, I don't remember.
20. Did you have a job your senior year? No.
21. Where did you go most often for lunch? Um, the cafeteria. :-) We had a choice of Taco Bell, Hungry Howie's (Gee, I wonder why America's children are getting so fat), traditional cafeteria fare (which I only consumed on chicken nugget day), a sandwich wrap cart and a vending machine. In the early days I ate a lot of Taco Bell, but then I resolved to start eating healthier and favored the sandwich wrap cart. But before you praise me for my discipline, know that I usually had brownie or even a Snickers with my wrap.
22. Have you gained weight since then? A bit. Nothing drastic.
23. What did you do after graduation? Went to the all night party.
24. When did you graduate? '02.
25. Who was your Senior prom date? I believe we already covered that. Must you rub it in?
26. Are you going to your 10 year reunion? Nah.
27. Who was your home room teacher? I don't know if we had homeroom in the traditional sense. If you mean the teacher who always took attendance and was present during announcements, well, naturally that was different every year.
28. Who will repost this after you? Dunno. Whoever's bored?
