I was thinking to myself how much worse it would feel if I knew he wasn't coming. It made me remember how, when your cat passed away a few years ago, you mentioned expecting to see him doing his little dance across the kitchen floor when it was time to eat, among other things. This reminded me to quit moping, because he's recovering now and I know he'll be home soon and he'll be fine. I know I'm going to take it very badly when one day, hopefully an eternity from now, he's gone for good.
And I hope I didn't just make you sad by mentioning your old kitty. That post just stuck with me.
I am sorry Cous is still missing. I know how it feels. When Dawn disappears for only a half-day or so I completely panic.
*hugs*
I hope he'll be back soon. I'm sure you've checked all the cupboards and closets? Can you check neighbour's cellars and such as well? He might have accidentally gotten himself locked in?
Oh, I missed that original post. Sorry. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him. Poor critters, they never know why we do that to them and that it's only for their best...
Thank you! And that's the worst part, I think, I can't explain to him that it's okay, that we're making him better, that he'll be home soon (hopefully today). So I'm just going to spoil him for, like, a week straight when he gets home. Or, you know. The rest of his life, it's whatever.
