I'm sure Pinterest has some great ideas for wording and other stuff, if you haven't tried that already.

I appreciate the tip! I browsed through some websites on it, worked up something I thought sounded good, and ran it by the mom-to-be. She responded by texting me a picture of the invite she's using at the shower her family is throwing for her (she's not from this area, so she's having a hometown shower and a local one) and said, "You can use that phrasing, if you want," which I think was her nice way of saying she didn't like what I came up with, haha. So I went with that, in the end.

Oh well, that's cool. At least she was willing to help you out. I wasn't involved in the planning at all, except when it came to food because you know, food aversions and stuff.

Baby showers are a somewhat strange concept to me. I didn't have one so I'd probably be useless at organizing one haha
