Chinchillas are the most ridiculous creatures imaginable.  My three live in a big white cage and get let out every day into this play area made of cardboard boxes.  Well, they don't like to be confined, see, so they spend up to twenty minutes at a time launching themselves at full speed into these boxes in order to dislodge them and escape.
