Changmin stares up at the ceiling, watching the fan lazily spin around in their hotel room. It's the last days of summer and he's worn out from a whole day of swimming and basketball and eating. The last cries of the cicadas buzz in the air, but it's oddly soothing with the sounds of crickets. He turns to his side where Junsu is sleeping peacefully, body contorted slightly as his chest rises and falls.
Changmin finds himself quirking a smile as he props himself up with an elbow. His other hand naturally reaches over to comb through Junsu's hair, and he pushes the strands out of Junsu's eyes. He gives in to his desire of leaning over and kissing Junsu, first on the forehead, then on the cheek, and then last on the lips. It's gentle, soft, a fluttering feather light touch of warmth.
He loves this man. With all his heart. And he knows he might not always show it so openly.
But in these private moments between the two of them, late at night, he feels safe and free to do what his heart feels. He lies back down, staring at Junsu still sleeping, and wraps an arm around Junsu's chest, almost possessively.
"I love you," he whispers as he starts to drift, to find himself sleeping.
