[There's video of dark walls through a train window. The Underground, moving past. Rory's voice comes from behind the camera. He sounds, perhaps, very slightly upset.]

Soooo....that's all the Underground, right? Nothing else there? Nothing else you can...see outside? Anybody who's watching?

[He wanders over after Rory shuts the camera off, leaning against the wall of the train. Avoiding the windows, yay. And all that getting-the-train-going business was mildly wooze-inducing.] You alright?

[waitsforever]

[Rory glances out the window, and then turns back to the Doctor, quickly.]

I'm....well...no. Not exactly, no. I know it's not happening right now, and it's not there, I just...don't like not being able to do anything. I dunno. It's silly, cos it's not real.

[am_i_being_rude]

[He sees the glance and briefly wonders what the future him has had the young man seeing and if it's anything like what he sees when he looks out the windows. Or hears, now. It's clearly enough to deeply unsettle him.

He nods, once, quiet for a moment, and looks out the window for a moment, instantly taking in a sharp breath and exhaling slowly as he looks back at Rory instead.] S'not silly. It's.. Understandable. [Beat.] Really understandable.

[waitsforever]

[A look at the Doctor, as he thinks. It could be either one, but he has to know. His voice is quieter when he speaks this time, hushed.]

Doctor...when you look out there, do you see Earth? Or is it your planet? [A pause, to remember.] Gallifrey.

[waitedforyears]

[Amy comes to step next to Rory.] What do you see?

action.

[waitsforever]

[Rory keeps looking out the window as he speaks.]

It's Earth...but it's a flaming ruin... [He swallows.] Even Leadworth. [He turns back to Amy and she gets a low chuckle sort of bordering on hysteria.] I keep remembering...you joking about how the Dalek things'd never bother with Leadworth. Waste of time. Should be enough to clue me in that it's a hallucination already.

[Now that he's turned to face her, he can't make himself turn back. Well. Whatever. It's not real. It's not.]

You...can't see anything, then? Or....hear anything?

action.

[waitedforyears]

[Rory looks so obviously freaked out and worried that Amy can't bring herself to tell him that yeah, she was something to. She hits him on the arm which is... essentially her way of comforting him right now.] Nah. Don't be daft.

[waitsforever]

[In response to this, Amy get's a kind of searching look from Rory, trying to work out if she's brushing it off.]

[Buffy has been wandering through the train, checking on people, keeping track of the situation and trying to avoid looking out the windows herself. She pauses next to Rory when she sees and hears he's bothered by the things he sees, whatever they are.]

There are people back home that won't let those things happen.

[She sounds confident as she says this because she has to be. She knows her friends are back at home and they wouldn't let this happen, whether she was there or not. She assumes there are people in his world that would stop this as well.]

Action;

[waitsforever]

[Rory tenses automatically--it's Buffy, he's never going to be used to this--and then nods slowly, turning around.]

I know...he fixed it before. My friend back in my universe. He always fixes it, and I know it's not happening and the train's just trying to mess with my head...but somehow, it doesn't make it any better, knowing that.

I don't see anything. It's too dark.

That's good. That's what you should see. Or not see.
