Now I have to play through the beginning again to see if I can spot the recumbent "kissing couple" in the middle of the war zone.
I finished "that frustrating boss fight on that planet with the laser thing" last night -- I just about heaved my computer off my 8th floor balcony.
I don't mind shooter games. And I don't mind having to re-do them as my mid-40's reflexes are a little behind the curve. But I hate hate hate boss fights.
Crimson Skies had the best option -- fail it three times, and the game offered you the chance to skip to the victory cut-scenes. I play in normal mode and do well enough, but Boss-fights actively interfere with my enjoyment of a game when it becomes clear that the plateau of requisite skill is just out of reach.
You know, after I ranted about that, I read how to do it, and it was super-easy. Your target designator works quicker if you stand still. All you have to do is run to one side, designate, run to the other, designate, ad inifitum. I did it in one try.
I managed to broker a peace and get both fleets, too.
I am missing a saved game from when I scraped my hard drive where *everyone* but Shepard dies on the Suicide Mission in ME2. (Liara & Ashley weren't there, so they make it). I desperately need to find a similar saved game (or play ME 2 again) to see how radically everything changes when everybody you know is dead.
I am so fouling pissed at the game right now. I will try to do this as spoiler-free as possible.
I('m)/ (think I'm) poised to take the final mission, the "Suicide Mission Stage" if this was ME2. Everyone is just hanging around. So you go talk to people. And everyone's all "it was a pleasure" -- you can even get on the holo-phone and talk to people who aren't present. In case you wanted Zaeed to sing you a songStandard response in situations like this? Talk to everyone
