My little brother + Impressions on the new anime season

Apr 11, 2006 22:20

My little brother is going to graduate from high school really soon, and he's already decided to go to Georgia Tech. I was hoping for awhile that he'd choose Virginia Tech because it's the closest to my location of all the places that accepted him, but whatever ^^; At least it's a pretty prestigious place, I am happy for him ( Read more... )

Oooh, I had not seen that Ouran had hit the airwaves! Man, I'm gonna be torrenting a lot with Disgaea and Gakuen Heaven also out.

BTW, though I don't go there, Georgia Tech is a nice campus. I visited it for MomoCon (small anime con)

Yup, it's out. Up to two episodes in Japan now, and the first sub is already out by Lunar. Get it, I think it's even better than the manga ^^

And wow, glad to know it's a nice place. My family's been a little nervous because they obviously couldn't do a campus tour.

YES! I tried it out on a whim (hey, it was there...I had nothing else to download) and I'm liking it a lot so far. The designs for the characters are so pretty. I'm with you for wanting the supporting male characters to show up, but other than that I'm intrigued by it. Hooray for people who make me feel like maybe I'm not completely off track on what I like.

Oh yay *_* Someone else is watching this too?

I'm playing the game as I watch, so it's interesting to see that it does a really good job following the storyline, although the sequences of events are a little mixed up. While there are information that are deleted from the game, there are also information added that was not in the game, so the two forms complement each other really well. This is one of the best game to anime adaptation I've seen and I'm so hopeful for the rest of the series ^^

By the way, and important male side character, Oboro, is appearing in the next episode. He is really cool *_*

I'm watching the raws right now, so I'm probably missing important pieces of information...but overall I like it a lot. How is the game, btw? I heard it was a hentai game, but like most H-game-to-anime adaptations I'm hoping the show itself will be toned down. Hooray for cool and important male side characters! I'm looking forward to seeing more. *beams*

Ahh, your icon *_* Where is the picture from?

The game is pretty good. It's definitely not an H-scene-per-minute game at all. In fact, I took a look at the CGs and saw that there are very few of such scenes. It's character/plot driven, and feels more more like a typical RPG game than an H game. Since there are hardly any H to begin with, I don't think we'd have to worry about the anime adaptaion ^^

If you want more info on the game, a friend of mine wrote a review here and she is working on an in-depth summary for it. I recommend reading the summaries because they give the parts of the stories that were not told in the anime, such as Aruruu and Hakuoro's bonding and the meaning behind Eruruu and Aruruu's name. I'd warn not to read up to part 3 though, because there's a big spoiler to a rather intense turn of events that is coming up >_o

I think that many good things come from staying and getting things done early, even if it sacrifices immediate pleasure. At least you'll get to see your family during the summer (mine has no intention of coming over XD) and while I'm stressing myself from the last semester of college / freezing to death in the Boston weather, you'll be back for TH's warm winter (which you'll enjoy much more b/c you deserve it after all that hard work). And time always passes sooner than you think. ;D Gambare!

...and why does Mai Otome OVA have to come out this summer when my internet is slowest? XP

Ahh...back to Kant & Mill. ^_^;

Yeah, I guess that is true. I think I'm the kind of person who only look at things in the short term rather than for long term effects, that's why all my pointless angst about this issue ^^; Thank you really for your words! I'm going to try my best ^_^

Aww ^^; Let's just pray that by the time you get home, Thailand already has better internet... Or if not, you can rely on the help from Rikkaidai.net, since I could probably download pretty fast? ^^
