The Nazis kept records the survival rate of concentration camp inmates during the war. Good post! I was just reading how the Nazis determined that the minimum nutritional requirement to sustain life in camp inmates at Treblinka was 900 calories a day.

What blows me away is that not only is 900 calories less than recommended for most weightloss programs, most of the inmates were forced to work 16 hours a day, seven days per week, hard labor.

It is disheartening to think of what people are capable of doing to one another!
