I wouldn't be surprised if this happened really. Maybe Shinpachi would settle for contacts and then everyone will flip and organize a search-team to find the 'real' Shinpachi.

Oh I'm so going to write more fics for Gintama, it's my favorite series and I agree that it needs more love.
