An easy riddle for a sunny day~ <3

You live in a three story building. In the cellar there are three light switches, in the attic there are three responsive lights. You have to find out which switch belongs to which light. There are a few restrictions though: You can't see anything at the outside from the cellar where the switches are. You are ( Read more... )

Who puts the light switches to the attic in the cellar? I would stop wasting my time mulling over some stupid riddle and call the electrical engineer who did the wiring for the house and kick his ass |:

...And my latest journal reads like Cory Doctorow. Lovely. I don't know who this is.

Ahahaha~ <3 I do like how you think, Hiyoshi-kun. You must have been top in your class in your Philosophy classes. ^~

He's a Canadian science fiction novelist~ <3 You would probably actually quite like his work.

I've never taken one. I know what I think, I care less about what others do.

Hmn~ I've read a fair bit of science fiction in the past, we'll see if he'll hold up to expectations.

And that is precisely why you would have excelled~ <3

I'd recommend his book, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. It's quite an interesting read~ <3

Oh, how chilling, Kirihara-kun~ <3 Do tell us when you release your next thriller. ^~ May I suggest a plot about forty tennis players marooned on an island when strange things start happening...

Heh...I'm not a writer. But if I ever get the bug, this would make a great murder mystery set up, ne?

Quite! It has many of the perfect elements of a good scary story, already - particularly the isolation on the island with no apparent escape... <3

I got Arthur Conan Doyle. He wrote Sherlock Holmes, right?

Correct, however I found his piece The Lost World to be far and above his most fascinating piece of writing. It is such a divergence from his other work.

[ooc: ...now I'm really going to bed.]

I might just check that out if we ever get out of here.

As you should. You might consider it a spiritual successor to Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park."

I write like some kind of Russian guy who I don't know.

As for your riddle ... I hate riddles. I'll punch a hole through all the floors so I can see up to the attic, yeah! I'm Momo; I can do that.

Ahaha~ He must be quite entertaining to have the distinction of writing like you, Momoshiro-kun~ <3

Well... If you feel energetic enough to do so, it is your house to do with as you see fit~ <3

But I don't write Russian. I can't even speak it.

Oh, it's my own house? Ah well, I can always fix it by putting a carpet on top of it.

You can share themes and style with a writer even across languages, however~ <3

I would patch the hole before placing carpet, or you'll have a booby trap in your house. ^~

I apparently write like someone named David Foster Wallace.

And I am still considering this riddle. I am certain there is a simple solution ...that does not involve blowing circuit panels.

Ah, I recall the name... I believe he passed away a few years ago.

It's your house, you may do with it as you see fit... but, yes, the riddle is deceptively simple~ <3
