Shortly after a started spinning I decided to try and make my own spindle, afterall, it didn't seem too difficult. No particular reason, I am one of those people who try to do it just to see if I actually can. Here is a doily that I made for my sister for Christmas.
It was needle tatted with pale pink crochet cotton.

My very first time using the Wiltons icing dyes. Loved them! Kool-aid is still nifty and I will probably still use that, but the Wiltons I can get such a better color range. Pic heavy. ( Onto the beautiful colors. )

My first pair of completed socks. I make this distinction because I did make a baby practice sock before, but it has no match. Also, I attempted to make socks for my mother before and I got almost done with the pair when I realized I missed an essential decrease on both socks . . . don't ask me how I missed it twice. I use to work at a home improvement store as a cashier. In the lumber department I would get bored, due to the slow traffic and would take some of the twine that was free to customers and do some tatting with my fingers while at the register. Definitely fun. Just thought you guys might find it amusing.
