thank you! we chose Carys because it means "love" in Welsh =]
she's three and she's becoming somewhat like me, maybe she's imitating me when she "bosses" her younger siblings around! yes she now knows how to play tricks, hide and all... but then they're only through this stage once and we as moms have to treasure these precious times =]

its bittersweet - I love watching them learn and get older, but I miss those early days too.
I did natural, no drug births for both of my kids too. LOVED the experience. Both times at the end I screamed for drugs, but it was time to push, LOL.
Hope your kiddos are feeling better soon!!

thanks! sometimes i feel so happy that i chose natural, no drug births for my kids! i'm so proud for both of us... to tell the truth i've always been terrified of pain, but when the time comes for little one to meet us, i think we forget about how intense the pain is =]

You can't tell stories like that when other pregnant women are reading! Especially those pregnant women that have other kids!!!! :)

I think we never forget the birth of our children. How special each is. My oldest "baby" will be 12 in August! How the time flies!

That sucks to have your little one sick. My sympathies!!

yes... i never imagined childbirth was like this =] i agree with you. time really flies. it just seems like yesterday when our newborns were placed in our arms the moment they arrived! sometimes i feel like doing something, anything to stop my kids from growing up =[
luckily i videotaped each birth (hubby went to the delivery room with a videocam each time, making the obs. a bit pissed at times) so we can watch it over and over again, perhaps show our kids when they're older =]

I had c-sections with all of my kids. So, this will be the same. I only was able to video tape one (my 3 year old). With him I had a bunch of students in watching, too. Only I didn't know until afterward and my husband told me. Hopefully this time around I can video tape again!

You painted such a beautiful picture of your first birth experience! I have a lot of respect for you because I would never choose to do it natural. I'm a wimp. My epidural wore off on the left side with Lacey and I cried through every contraction like a little baby. Pain is NOT my friend.

I can't wait to see pics!

thank you! no you're not a wimp... dont call yourself that.
just by choosing to become a mom, you made a very very brave decision, because motherhood changes your life in so many ways =] so each mom is a beautiful, brave woman!

i will post pics soon =]

It is nice to see that others have large families and know the blessings that children truely are. I have to work full time as I carry our health insurance, but I would love to have more time with the kids. I'll update my journal as soon as I have time:)
