On Serenity, the message comes in.

Well, a message comes in, garbled and choked with static.

"--colm Reynolds--have questions that--weapons--keep tracking you--browncoat, I'll expect--me again soon."

" -- should hear."

A button is pounded in Inara's shuttle: "Two seconds."

In something slightly longer than the offered time limit, Mal appears in the entrance to the bridge. "Weren't anything to be bounced back to the shuttle." More of a question than it sounds.

Mal's eyebrows furrow at "--colm Reynolds--"

And do not let up with "--have questions that--weapons--keep tracking you--browncoat--I'll expect--me again soon."

"We get any sort of a trace on that, location, anything?" Mal asks. Wash gestures to the screen to his right, placing the origin of the call just outside of Whittier atmo. "Probably why it's so trashed, transmitted through the cloud-haze."

To Zoe: "They never do call to make nice, do they?"
