[Video] Egg. . .?

Jul 30, 2010 00:34

Yesterday I woke up to this in my arms instead of Roger II [He turns the camera to a Cleffa egg which is being affectionately. . .? licked by Gastly. It couldn't have been misplaced- it was tucked into his arms while he was asleep ( Read more... )

Wow, call me stupid or something, but I had no idea that pokemon laid eggs...does that even make sense?

Aren't some pokemon mammals?

Geesh, this world...

It is really weird. . .

[And Bridget was doing so well accepting Pokemon world logic (there is none). Thanks Kovu.]

Well, maybe not...maybe only reptile pokemon lay eggs or something. Maybe you're just gonna get some weird lizard or a bird or something...

That would make more sense...

Yeah.

Minnie has one too.

Do you know who might have given them to us?

So, there are other people who got eggs to...

No, I'm afraid I don't know...

[He looks thoughtful before]

Since we were given eggs, maybe it was something like an Easter Bunny!

[Feel free to facepalm at the boy Bridget]

[A giant rabbit giving out eggs? In this world? Bridget buys it.]

I wonder why it gave them to us.

[Naoto has no idea what the egg is, but she's very curious about Bridget]

I have been told that all species hatch from eggs, so we cannot even narrow down the species somewhat. However, I must say the giver is very generous.

[Thanks to Kovu bringing this up Bridget asks:]

Aren't some of the pokemon mammals? How can they lay eggs?

Some are mammals, yes. I suspect Pokémon may be something outside the entire classification system but if they are not, there is an explanation. Within the classification system there are some mammals that lay eggs. They are just exceedingly rare. I had even forgotten about them when I first found out that all Pokémon laid eggs.

Ah. Maybe in Johto egg laying mammals are very common.

Thank you! Would you like to study it? It might be helpful for your future as a breeder.

You'd let me? Of course! Just make sure to keep it warm. That's important for bird eggs back home, at least.

I'll remember that. Maybe that's why the person who gave it to me put it in my arms. . .
