At least that event wasn't as bad as the underwater one. I'm still surprised how none of the books are damaged.
Poland...-san was it? You said you would show me a letter a while ago. Do you think I can take a look at that now?
Also Ivanova-san, I would like to listen about the aliens you were talking about whenever you're free.

[ Conan flips the communicator off and goes up a few flights of stairs to the fifth floor. He knocks the door ]

Hey! Um, like, Conan, right?

Yeah! Nice to meet you, Poland-san.

[Poland wanders to a desk, unlocking a drawer in it and removing first a handful of small items, then a thin wooden partition, then the letter. Their room got vandalized, once, and they wanted to keep the letter well protected just in case afterwards.]
Okay, here we go! You know, I like, never asked if you can read Polish or Lithuanian, but...
[Holds it out, the carefully-preserved wax seals facing up.]

As Poland took out the letter, Conan took out white gloves from his back pocket. You know, just in case. White gloves was always necessary when looking at evidence. ]
Thank you. [ he takes the letter, and carefully opens the letter ]
I can't really read Polish or Lithuanian. [ but he reviewed some 1400 Poland-Lithuania Kingdom history for the past few weeks so he could at least recognize names, dates, insignias and such.
Conan unfolds the letter and begins carefully examining the letter, noticing that, at least the paper looked authentic. (He would have needed to run tests on it to be sure but hey, can't ask for too much) ]

Um, mine's from Her Late Majesty Jadwiga, and this one's from His Majesty Władysław II Jagiełło. Her Majesty's, at least. I kinda can't read that much Lithuanian. I can tell you what they say, if you want? I mean, you'd kinda have to take my word or Liet's for it, but...

Can you? That'll be great.

[There's a tender affection on Poland's face as he reads, brushing her fingertips over the ink a couple of times. Jadwiga was like a sister to him, almost. They even married at the same time, to Liet and Jogaila. He misses her, but that's really just part of living as long as a nation.]

From what Conan could see, Poland didn't seem to have lied. Of course, Poland may be a holder of a perfect poker face, but talking to him so far, he didn't seem to be. There didn't seem to be a reason for him to be lying anyway, and if it was just to pull Conan and other people's leg, this prank seemed to be much too elaborate. No, Poland seemed to be telling truth.
And however improbably it seemed, it was the truth. There were personification of countries ]
Thank you, Poland-san.

[He gives Conan a bright smile, perhaps to try and cover up the emotional vulnerability from a moment ago.]
Yeah, no prob!

I believe you.
