[ the video flicks on and the view from the desk is half blocked by a small empty glass bottle and a cup of water. Behind that though, is Conan trying to read a book on the bed. Keyword: trying. His face is obviously flushed, even from the distance, and after a few long seconds, he shuts the book, sighing. ]I swear it was almost gone... Why does it ( Read more... )

[This is what I get for going to bed early. DX Anyway, that accidental video is not a good sign, Conan.]

Edogawa-kun? Is everything all right?

[It didn't sound all right, that much was certain.]

As did I, but she hadn't. I don't know why.

If we're called "real things," I would guess they're considered "fake". I think it's more a duplicate, not necessarily fake.

I wasn't sure why the Queen allowed the chess to happen in the first place as well.

If we think of them as ourselves they would be a fake. No one can be us but ourselves. But if we think of them as a whole different being, then they would be more like variations.

As an experiment, maybe. Or for her temporary amusement.

Right. They're separate individuals, but still real. They're not us, they're themselves. I still wonder why they exist at all.

The latter seems more plausible.

The Queen is supposed to have made them, right?

Many things that happen seem to be for that reason.

Correct, but why? What is their purpose? It's rather cruel to bring them into existence, then to have them vanish once someone is sent home.

At this point I can't think of anything other than the Queen's amusement or to cause perturbation among us.

There might be more clues in the upcoming events.

[But Minato definitely heard that cough.]

But you should rest, Edogawa-kun. We can discuss this later when you're better.

As much as those events are troublesome most of the time, it is the best time to gather clues...

No, I'm fine, Arisato-san. You don't have to worry.

It's been twice now that we could exist on the same side as our mirrors. I wonder if that's normal.

If you're sure. If it's easier, I can meet you where you are. [Minato always did like talking to the detective, but he still worried about his friend's health.]

It didn't seem like it considering how excited the mirrors were the last time.

Ahh, no. I don't want you to get sick or anything. Talking through this communicator would be best.

It might be normal, but we might not realize that it is too. I wonder how much the mirrors or even the Queen know about how Wonderland works.

All right. Just take care of yourself.

True. ...I did hear an opinion that perhaps the Queen herself was a parasite to this Mansion.

I will, don't worry.

I heard that as well. I don't know if she was brought in from another world or not. It's something to investigate at some point.

The questions just seem to keep growing.
