[ Conan's in the library, like always, browsing through the bookshelf, seeing if there was anything interesting. He stops in front of a section, where, judging from the spine, it seemed to be a series of some sort ]

[ Conan pulls out one, and flips through it ]

I didn't think I would see this series here.

Yeah. I'm...pretty close to him. And Kudo Yuusaku is Kudo Shinichi's father.

Mn, I see. You've talked to him about the series then?

Sometimes. Yuusaku-ojisan lives in Los Angeles, so we only usually get to talk over the phone.

It must be nice to talk to him about it. Did you help with any of the stories?

Not really. But sometimes he let... m...he let Shinichi-niichan proofread it. Shinichi-niichan said that if he could figure it out too quickly, Yuusaku-ojisan would change it to make it more difficult.

[Minato nodded. That series had to have a great deal of complexity on top of an engaging plot.]

Has your family always been in invested in detective work?

Only Shinichi-niichan and Yuusaku-ojisan. Yuusaku-ojisan doesn't anymore, but he used to help with the police. Shinichi-niichan does that now.

[It must've been also been just as nice to be close to one's family like that.]

Do you know if he's going to write more?

Oh, I'm sure. That old m...Yuusaku-ojisan is far from retiring.

Maybe, who knows. I like being a detective more though, rather than writing about them.
