SV Season 10 News Update!
Okay, so we all know -- at least I think we all know -- that AM is only going to be a guest star for Season 10. Oddly enough, on wikipedia, it has her listed as a regular cast member. Either way, I'm just happy she's around! Now, onto the good stuff!
Okay, so I was surfing the web for more exclusives on Season 10, since it's so close to it's premeire. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything. Not even a trailer, which, with ComicCon and all, I would have expected that to be the first thing to pop up. Anyway, as far as I know, AM is still just a guest star for several episodes on the upcoming season. There are rumors and theories circulating the web about why this is. The running idea is that Chloe is going to die. I refuse to believe that the writers would kill off such an important character. I mean, Chloe is an original in a show of canons that has a bigger fan base than Superman himself. Her fans span the globe and have inspired various forms art -- from fanfiction to graphics to videos and even webpages.
So just what is going to happen to the world's favorite sidekick?
The Season 9 finale left us with Chloe listening to Oliver (yum!) being attacked by an unknown enemy. All we know is what Ollie told us: they were not Kandorians, and they would be able to find Chloe. Of course, we also know that they love each other (squee!) My theory for the Season 10 opener is that Chloe will be missing, presumed dead. Why do I believe this? Well, straight from the show's great brains themselves, they said that Oliver will be informed that Chloe has been killed. As a result, he's going to spend a lot of the season looking for Chloe, mostly likely because he's unwilling to believe she's dead, and find her murderer and bring them to justice. Obviously, Chloe is not going to be dead. since she'll be in several episodes.
What's my theory? It's quite simple: Dr. Fate!
In Absolute Justice, Dr. Fate said that he and Chloe share the same fate. Now, this is rather ambiguous because he doesn't even know his own fate. Now, bear with me. SV's brains have also said that Chloe's ending will be told "in a way that's fitting for Chloe" and that she will "sacrifice" herself for Oliver. What do I get out of this? I believe that Chloe is going to become the new Dr. Fate. It only makes sense as she has been around for the beginning of all these great heros, and not just Superman and Green Arrow, but Black Canary, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, Hawkman, etc. She is their "guardian angel", of sorts, as Watchtower. It only makes sense that she step up and be Dr. Fate, the ultimate guardian of superheroes.
Sadly, my theory also includes the end of Chlollie. *pouts* It upsets me as well, as I have know Chlollie would be epic since the two first met and Chloe uttered, "Wow!" It's just realistic to believe that the relationship will work with Chloe as Dr. Fate since, if my memory serves correctly, Dr. Fate lives in an alternate reality of sorts, separated from the rest of the human world and only intervening when absolutely necessary. However, if my theory is correct, this is exactly why fanfiction was invented, to keep the epicosity that is Chlollie alive!
