i think bursting into tears a perfectly acceptable response to the situation. it's v good news that the hd is probably salvageable, though. v good news. *hugs*

My poor laptop! D: I can't even count the number of times over the last few days that I've reached for it, or made a mental note to look something up on it, and then remembered all over again. And that's not even counting fandom-related thoughts. I mean, Yuletide ALONE. I won't know for sure that the hard drive is okay until I get it out of the case, but from what I've heard online and from resident experts in my life, the odds are pretty good. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the support. *hugs*
