Apparently it's mini-migraine day. It started as I was finishing lunch. My sunglasses are in deliriumdevas car. I knew I should have grabbed them when I had the chance

I hope your head feels better. Migraines aren't fun at all. My doctors told me I could take 4 Ibuprofen every six hours for mine. Maybe Ibuprofen would be more effective than Excedrin? (I've never tried Excedrin though.)
I have a daily preventative that cuts down the overall number of headaches, and Midrin (a horse dose of Tylenol plus a sedative and a muscle relaxer) usually does for the major pain. But I can't work on Midrin, so Excedrin is what I have. It barely scratches the surface. I'm one of the weird people. Ibuprofen doesn't do anything to my migraines for some reason.
Why is it your doc is treating yours with OTC Ibuprofen? Does it work amazingly for you? That would be pretty cool.
Ibuprofen works decently well for me, but I have to take a lot. My old birth control gave me migraines, but they stopped a few weeks after I switched to a different pill. Since my doctors are in Texas, I haven't actually been to see anyone about the migraines, so they told me (over the phone) to just use Ibuprofen in large quantities. It let me function which is a big improvement from without it. The antiviral meds give me migraines though, but I took my last pill so I'm hoping they will go away soon. It seems like yours are more serious than mine though. I think medication is the only thing that triggers mine.
At least you had occasion to need sunglasses today. I got to play the fun office game of showing up before dawn and leaving after sundown today. Nothing like darkness to make one feel better about one's cubicled existence. Still, migraines & complaints do suck. If it helps, I'll wear my sunglasses around the office in solidarity for you.
