The Keybearer [lockandkeyblade] ♦♦♦♦
"You've got friends like us!"
Sora and Riku have been best friends since they were small, probably since they were in diapers. While he harbored a grudge and an almost rivalry for his friend, when Kairi chose him, it blew out of proportion. As Riku fell to darkness, Sora triumphed and became the Keybearer Riku was supposed to be. Sora tried to free him even after all the cruel things Riku had done, and he never forgot that. Riku watched over Sora while he slept and did horrible things to others to bring him back. He's watched over him for so long that he's resigned himself to a secondary role and will damn himself to protect him. Still, after all this time, he still hasn't forgiven himself for what he's done to Sora, no matter what the other says.

While ashamed at how he's been without his friend, he's slowly reaching back out and repairing their friendship, glad to have him back.

The Princess of Heart [destinysembrace] ♦♦♦♦
"I came looking for you."
Kairi is the girl Riku wanted to be with. He doesn't any longer, though he'll always be protective of her. He's lost any right to be her special person when he allowed her to lose her heart. Ashamed at his actions, he's kept to the sidelines but has always looked out for her. In Siren's Port, she's been there twice before and has always been a source of comfort. Her light shines brightest around her friends. Riku will always look out for her and will never allow anyone to hurt her.

The Key of Destiny [pullsheavendown] ♦♦♦
"Where is Sora?"
Once upon a time, Roxas was the key to waking Sora from his slumber and he was kidnapped to do just that. Riku went into the dark to do it, unleashing Xehanort's Heartless, and he's never looked back since then. Still, guilt's all he feels towards Roxas at the moment, even now after so long. He knows what Roxas' fate will be, but he refuses to remind him of it. Instead, he contents himself to letting Roxas live his life and watches over him as a friend.

The Memory Princess [linkings] ♦♦♦
"I'm a witch with power over Sora's memories and those around him."
Even though she's Kairi's Nobody, Naminé still seems like someone so different to Riku. She helped take care of Sora and kept Riku company when he was with DiZ for a time. She was willing to disappear for Kairi and Riku respected her a great deal for her courage and sacrifice. Much like Roxas, he's glad that she can live out her life in peace in Siren's Port.

The Shadow [madeinoblivion] ♦♦♦
"It's nice to have Darkness on my side."
Riku's replica, "Joe", is a lot like a younger version of him...but perhaps just more close-minded. He has little tolerance for Riku and hates being compared. Riku had to kill him back in Castle Oblivion and their entire final encounter was fairly traumatizing. For now, he and Joe get along, albeit begrudgingly. He'll never admit it, but he keeps an eye on his replica, watching over from a distance.

The Fourteenth [mirroredmemory] ♦♦♦
"I am not a sham!"
Xion is Sora's replica, yet she looks like Kairi. With traits from both of his friends so evident in her, it's hard for Riku not to like her, but he can't help but feel guilty whenever he looks at her. He still sometimes sees her as Sora, which makes it all the worse. Still, he's dedicated to keeping her safe and to ensure she has a safe existence here in Siren's Port.

The Executioner [got_it_memorizd] ♦♦
"But don't waste your time. We Nobodies can never hope to be Somebodies."
Axel is both friend and foe, and Riku knows how quickly he can switch sides and cause problems. Axel was going to kill Sora to free Roxas, but then changed his mind and saved him from the Dusks instead. Riku's grateful to Axel for more than one thing that he's done, but that doesn't make him necessarily trust him. Rather...Riku knows that Axel will do anything for Roxas, and he'll leave it at that, even if he and Axel have a lot more in common than they're willing to agree on.

The Mentor [todomarishi] ♦♦♦
"You have to be the last life ruined by Xehanort!"
If nothing else, Terra is inspiration to Riku. He knew how the boy felt from the moment they met and he understood that he wanted to leave the island. He made an impact on Riku's life even back then and continues to do so now. Terra is living testament to the idea that one can survive the darkness...but he wonders how much Terra has changed and how he will change as well should he even give in to that power again.

The Missing Heart [feverpitching] ♦♦♦
"Do you really think so?"
Once, Riku told Sora that there was someone very sad out there. Who knew that they would one day meet years later? Ven is kind and innocent, a boy caught up in a lot of grief and strife. He knows he can handle himself, but he reminds him a lot of Sora just the same. Thankfully, Terra's around to look out for him.

The Researcher [turntodarkness] ◊◊◊◊
"Open your heart to darkness."
He wishes he could say he's over Ansem and what he did. He wishes he could shrug it off. He can't, though. Ansem knows more about him than anyone else and the two of them understand each other more than Riku's willing to admit. He's put off their confrontation for too long because he knows that one of them will lose and he's afraid that it'll be him and not Ansem.

The Superior [not-obsess3d] ◊◊
"We will go together."
Riku and Sora defeated Xemnas a long time ago, but in Siren's Port, their truce keeps them from hurting the man. Xemnas has been a surprisingly helpful ally and he and Riku have discussed some things at length. Some things are understood between them.

Still, he's not a friend, and this fact is all too clear sometimes.

The Freeshooter [madannoshashu] ◊◊
"Rambling. As if!"
Not a friend. Not an ally. As much as Xigbar likes to flip sides and do things at his own pace, Riku has a distinct amount of vehemence for the Nobody. For the most part, it's justified since he bothered Sora so much. But some of that dislike comes from someplace else, someplace he isn't sure he understands. Xigbar knows more than he lets on and Riku is always wary.

The Schemer [illusionomicon] ◊◊
"The world of darkness and Ansem's shadow still nest within your heart."
Zexion's proven time and time again that there's more to Nobodies than meets the eye, either by engaging in conversation, leading him on, or simply deciding to mess with him. He certainly doesn't trust the man, but the Keybearer knows far too well that the three former apprentices are his only link to the darkness sleeping in his heart. For now, Riku will honor their pact and approach with caution; Zexion is a manipulator, after all.

The Hero [tipofatlas] ◊
"You're also capable of controlling the darkness. Cast away your useless fear. Open your heart."
Even though Lexaeus is his co-worker at Lion's Gate, he still doesn't see or hear enough of him to get a solid opinion. The man offered words of advice and thoughtful conversation when they were helping to fix a building after the earthquake, and since then, he's sure that Lexaeus is keeping an eye on him. He doesn't trust him either, but he has no reason to bear him a grudge at this point in time.

Lexaeus has since departed Siren's Port.

The Scientist [memoryswiles] ◊◊◊
"The memory’s wiles can be cruel. In its silence, we forget. In its obsession, it binds our hearts."
If he could dislike any of the three Nobodies present, it would have to be Vexen. He created "Joe", Riku's replica, and toyed with him in Castle Oblivion. He taunted him about Xion's existence and even took small pleasure in Riku's confusion and pain. Vexen may be capable of testing Riku's darkness to be sure it's under control, but he probably wouldn't trust him with that kind of opportunity.

Vexen has since departed from Siren's Port.

The Artist [taketheearsoff] ♦♦♦
"But now I rot, waiting for an audience that doesn't... ever... come..."
Sander Cohen is Riku's official and unoffical employer, and has been since a few days after the man arrived. He owns Felton Theater, where Riku works as a stage hand, and often sends him on errands. Cohen may be a little off his rocker, but he's got a lot of talent and drive, and that's something Riku can respect. Affectionately calling him "Sheepdog", Cohen has Riku's loyalty for the time being. He finally saw Cohen's masterpiece and, after nearly being killed, forced him to promise not to continue his work. Unfortunately, Cohen lost his heart and did so anyway. He was killed by an angry mob.

Security Chief [rapturescreed] ♦♦♦
"If you're going to eat the poison, you might as well finish the plate."
Raul Creed is Riku's other employer as head of security at Lion's Gate. Riku works as security detail as well, and sometimes runs small errands for the man. Despite Raul's philosophy being almost identical to Cohen's, the man is strict and yet charismatic, and manipulative to a fault. He sees a little bit of Xehanort in Raul Creed, and that's something that makes him very uneasy.

The Pirate [piracyinpink] ♦♦♦
"Is that my little messenger boy?"
Kei Yuki is a friend of Riku's, and someone he enjoys speaking with. She's kind, witty, and...has a lot to learn about cooking. He always has the distinct impression that she's hiding something behind that smile, and there's something almost sad about her sometimes. He brings her food when she asks, and he's all too happy to keep her company some nights. She has left twice.

The Prosecutor [mentis_reae] ♦♦♦
Edgeworth can be a pain to deal with, and everyone knows it. And he might be a little too quick to judge people, Riku can still see that he's trying his best to be a good citizen and helpful to everyone here. Edgeworth may be cold and flippant at times, but Riku's grown used to him, and he can't help but feel bad that so many people dislike him.

The Hex [hexyoutotuesday] ♦♦♦
She works in Felton Theater as a dancer, and Riku's met her through Joe before. They're good friends and he's always willing to take time out of whatever he's doing to talk to her or see how she is. She...also has a bad habit of slapping him on the butt as he passes by and frequently making passes at him for the fun of it. He doesn't mind, generally; he knows she just likes to play around. They've had their falling outs but through thick and thin, Riku knows he can trust Jinx. He wants to see her happy and he'll rip anyone in half if they hurt her.

Mother and God [callunaelectra] ♦♦♦
Riku met her first when he gave her a place to stay for her month out of the apartments. Since then, he's noticed her in the Darkness as Alessa, and has sometimes followed her and watched out for her. She doesn't seem ill-affected by the Darkness, and instead seems to embrace it, surprising him. She's a private girl and he can appreciate that, but he does worry about her out there.

Cheryl has left Siren's Port.

The Trickster [zealouspeter] ♦♦
Shiroe's like Zexion, sadly, and he often wonders if the two of them just like to throw chores off on him because they like giving good ideas and then sitting back to let someone else do the work. Still, Shiroe has good intentions and he's pretty young yet. Riku likes him, but he's wary of any and all ulterior motives the boy may have.

The White Piece [riddlemered] ♦♦♦
Battler's a loyal and strong friend, even if he likes to hit on girls right and left. Riku made him some food when he first arrived, and he's been watching out for the guy ever since. ...Still, he can't help but wonder if Battler looks at him sometimes because he has long hair, or if the other's just being weird.

Battler left Siren's Port some time ago.

The Boy with Ears [little_bandages] ♦♦♦
Ritsuka may be a private kid, but he has a good head on his shoulders and is still young, despite his maturity over the network. Riku feels bad for him since Soubi's disappeared, but he also knows that Ritsuka can take care of himself. He's made him some homemade ice cream before, and he often checks in on him just to see how he's doing. Since Big Boss' departure, Riku is considered Ritsuka's legal guardian. With Soubi here, that may change.

Heavenly Fists [meteor_heart] ♦♦♦
Sora knows Tifa from Radiant Garden, and that's good enough for Riku, even if she's from a different world. She's kind, thoughtful, gentle, and sometimes acts like she's Joe's mother, which Riku finds amusing. She's tough but he's seen a great sadness in her, especially when it concerns Cloud. He's teamed up with her before, and he'll do it again in a heartbeat.

The Broken Reunion [argentcruelty] ◊
Riku promised to help Kadaj find his brothers, despite being wary at their eerie resemblance, but when Yazoo showed up, the two Remnants slaughtered a church full of people in front of Riku. Since then, he doesn't trust Kadaj, and he doesn't care if he calls him "brother" or not; he won't allow Kadaj or Yazoo to hurt anyone, even if he has to subdue them himself.

The Sharpshooter [argentallure] ◊
Yazoo is the quieter of the two Remnants, and that makes him even more dangerous. Riku can't tell what's going on in his head, and he's more than ready to kill the Keybearer if he makes any move to stop or fight Kadaj. He's sure to be careful around him. Yazoo is the more aggressive and sly of the two.

Deluded God [killswithapen] ◊◊
Light's complicated, in a nutshell. He displays charisma and altruism, but then he turns around and says something selfish or incredibly cold. He strikes Riku as the sort of man who has too much influence in the city...and after hearing that he was Kira, he's sure of it now. Light's another person who reminds Riku of Xehanort, but maybe what makes Light all the more threatening is that he also reminds Riku of himself from over a year ago.

Whitened Warrior [payingthepiper] ♦♦
Allen, for all of his hesitance, obviously has a good head on his shoulders and a past that Riku's unsure of. They both can agree that silver-haired people get a bad reputation for being evil or psychotic, which makes their friendship a little odd. He was willing to help out at the baseball diamond and Riku's grateful to him for that. He doesn't know Allen well, but he's hoping to change that soon.

The Hunter [derbruder] ◊◊
Giovanni definitely challenges Riku in a way that only Zexion, Xehanort, and DiZ have done, and he's definitely wary of what that could potentially mean. With Noki gone, Giovanni doesn't have a root to the city, and the Keybearer's going to be looking out for him to see if he tries anything. He doesn't trust him at all.

The Scorpion [barebacking] ◊◊
"Come. I will take something from you."
Yaha is deranged and disgusting. He's a murderer, plain and simple, and full of darkness. He uses gnomes in combat and calls them his "children". Riku's since had to keep an eye on him because of Kadaj and Yazoo, but a recent bout of depression and rage from Yaha has forced Riku to step in. After a victorious fight, Riku took the man home and learned more about him. He's promised to watch out for Yaha, becoming his new "jailer".
