Summary: Dean was hurt because Sam had been careless, and now Sam had to get on with what needed to be done. Now was not the time to give in to his own aches and pains. Pre-season, hurt/ sick! Sam, minor hurt/ major angst! Dean, angst! John.

It's not stomach flu, John! ... Yet again, I really enjoyed this chapter. I'm glad that Sam's injuries are almost out in the open, and I absolutely loved the end where Dean compared his pain to the broken leg. It's all so sad, but lovely.

Poor John - I don't think he means to be a neglectful father at all, but he's so blind sometimes... But yes. At least Dean knows now, and they're going to get help for Sammy (not that things are over for him by any means :-P).
Tissue warning - it gets sadder! But I'm glad you're still enjoying it :-D

It's okay; the sadder the better, as long as there's some comfort at the end. I totally get what you mean with John, it's not that he's heartless and horrible, but y'know... he lost his wife and had to bring up two boys in the harshest environment - so it's to be expected. I'm glad help is on the way for Sam, and although I love reading him hurt, I do feel sorry for him. *Squishes*

Never fear. IMO, the whole point of "hurt" is to be an excuse for "comfort"... so there's lots of that coming too. But it will get sadder :-0

This is so bad for Sammy. Hope the next chapter comes as quickly. Leave it to 'big brother radar' to at least begin to figure out what's going on. I'm kinda pissed at John right now. Too pissed off to see that Sam isn't okay. Hasn't been okay.

Ah, thanks :-D I'm so pleased you like them! I have lots of ideas for fics, but I'm a terribly slow writer, so they don't all end up on "paper" (screen?) At least this fic is completely written, so no horrible waits...

Thank goodness Sammy has a Dean - I think if it had just been John, he'd still be on that bathroom floor! But John will see the error of his ways eventually (roll on the guilt!) He's not awful, just a bit obsessed, and poor Sammy ends up being neglected...
All things being equal, chapter 5 should be up tomorrow :-)
