Summary: Dean was hurt because Sam had been careless, and now Sam had to get on with what needed to be done. Now was not the time to give in to his own aches and pains. Pre-season, hurt/ sick! Sam, minor hurt/ major angst! Dean, angst! John.

Wow! Yet again, I absolutely adored it. Your medical details are perfect, and that scene with Dean and Sam in the back of the car... absolutely stunning, especially the likening to that fateful night where Mary died. You really have blown me away with this chapter, I love it. I love it so freakin' much. You are amazing. I can't wait for more.

Ah, thanks so much :-D I've got flu or something at the moment, and your comment has really cheered me up! I'm so glad you liked this chapter, and especially that the medical bits came across realistically - not being fully medical myself, I'm always a bit worried that they won't be believable...

Oh no, not flu! *Hugs, gives you tissues* I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad that I could cheer you up though, yay. It is always difficult to get the medical aspects right, but you totally nailed it. My Mom's a nurse, but I think she'd ask too many questions if I started using her for fic research... <3

Hehe - my dad and brother are doctors, but I also feel a bit odd asking them for too much help (especially the dire sort of situations we love putting our boys into!) Thank goodness for the internet...

As usual, another wonderful installment. Dean's fear and protectiveness were palpable and the scene in the back of the Impala was so... the boys, hah. But if I've learned one thing from Supernatural fandom it's that Sam Winchester never gets an easy time in the hospital, eep. Nervous and excited for the next chapter.
