Summary: Dean was hurt because Sam had been careless, and now Sam had to get on with what needed to be done. Now was not the time to give in to his own aches and pains. Pre-season, hurt/ sick! Sam, minor hurt/ major angst! Dean, angst! John.

Poor Sam, he never does anything halfway--including getting himself internally injured, apparently. And the guilty nightmares? Trademark Sam. Poor guy. And poor Dean, helpless to do anything about it. Breaks my heart D=

Poor Sam indeed - not only injures himself, but manages to get really sick before anyone notices. And all the emotional aspects aren't helping either. And all Dean can do is be a big brother but sometimes even that isn't enough :-(

I love that Dean was totally on Sam's side in this, when he was having that conversation with John. It was great how Dean tried to convince his brother than that he wasn't angry and that they all make mistakes... It definitely tugged on my heartstrings. Another wonderful chapter (which I am reading and commenting on from the comfort of Birmingham's public transport). I hope things don't get too bad for you, Sam. Organ failure would be a disaster. *Snuggles him tightly*

:-) I'm glad I can provide entertainment while you travel! I have to admit, Dean was my hero in this chapter - sticking up for Sam to his dad, and then comforting him again and again... I LOVE protective big-bro Dean!!
Hmmm... as to whether things are going to get "too bad" for Sammy... well, no comment ;-) But I'll post the next chapter tomorrow...

I completely agree, protective!Dean is the best kind. As for Sam... I will have to wait and see what you do to him. I kinda secretly like seeing him hurt, so I'm sure I'll love anything you've written. <3
