I'm always flummoxed about whether or not I would write Castiel as being overwhelmed by sensation as a human since he's never felt it before, or possibly underwhelmed by it since as an angel, he had access to so much more.

But, the way you've written this is wonderful, and puts a check in the overwhelmed category. What a fun and hot exploration of angel mythology.

Awww, hot and sweet. I liked Cas' idea to feel more connected to Dean and get the more intense feelings of being human. What a shame it triggered that flashback, but I liked how Dean handled it and am glad that Cas chose to carry on rather than retreat back to the power of his grace, choosing to trust Dean.

On reread, I belatedly realised I never left a comment on this story. Which is a shame, because I loved it to pieces!

Cas and his powers, as well as potential loss thereof and how that would change his perceptions, is an endlessly fascinating topic. Exploring this in a sexual, specifically BDSM context, where he gives them up willingly and temporarily... it seems so logical, yet this is the first story I've read with this premise. And the only one I'll ever need to, because it's absolutely perfect! <3
