What? Well, I-... Hmm. I'm not a very good draw-er, but here goes nothing.

[She'll sketch out a microphone, even attempting a little 3-D depth, but in essence it winds up being a crosshatched ball on a short round stick.] You talk in this end here. [A circle around the ball.] And it makes it louder so everyone can hear.

What about a bullhorn or something like that? You know, make a cone and hold it up to your mouth. It'll make you a little louder!

Well, you can sing into it and it makes it really loud so people can hear, even way in the back.
