This one got me more emotionally involved than the previous two installments, but still feels like it lacks real substance. The images of the October revolution repeating itself in New York, er, Gotham, are chilling, but the movie holds back, and it shouldn't. Let us see Alfred and Lucius Fox hang. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)
This one wasn't very popular with the critics, apparently. Can't imagine why. The title promises you Abraham Lincoln hunting vampires, and you get fucking Abraham Lincoln hunting fucking vampires. What's not to like? Yeah, it's not all action, some screen time is also devoted to Lincoln's political career, but that's kind of the point. He can't ( Read more... ) -
Prometheus (2012)
A visually striking and, at times, genuinely terrifying movie. Unfortunately, the plot starts to fall apart about halfway through, and by the time the credits start to roll, nothing makes sense anymore. The characters are bland and forgettable, and some are also quite redundant. I would have expected more from the man who created Alien. -
The Avengers (2012)
So I watched The Avengers in good quality, and decided to add a few impressions. The movie on the whole is dumb, but what I like about it is that it illustrates the "more than the sum of its parts" principle. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011)
They should have titled it "Demon Baby" or "Fetus From Hell". The movie is all kinds of fucked up, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Vampires Suck (2010)
The film has a low rating on IMDB for some reason, but it's actually a really funny Naked Gun-style parody of Twilight, and with much better acting, I might add. Especially noteworthy is the lead actress Jenn Proske, who does a perfect imitation of Kristen Stewart. She has a great body, too. I hope we'll see her again in the future.
