This is the lead to a song that I have not made much progress with. When soul stirring songs start catching fire in our collective hearts the revolution and end or Plutocrat Tyranny will be at hand. The 1-2% wealthy have been in rule over the human race for quite some time. To them? The doomsday clock is always 1 second to midnight. And they are soon to press the Big Red Button and escape to their underground bunkers, anytime.

That scenario seems to suit them just fine. I really want to believe in Karma and justice of some kind though there seems to be no such thing in evidence. Historically these ruling elites eventually pissed of enough of the wrong people to get their just deserts.

Yep. They like the occult, too. The fact that they're natural cult leaders aside, they're pretty good at black magic, with an advantage in that they're willing to do things most people aren't in that department too. Assuming this is a serious factor in future social uprising attempts, it's going to take more than mundane weapons to win. People's minds aren't really their own (psychological manipulation via mass media is tremendously effective). That's why no one has been able to seriously challenge this situation, imo. To use your metaphor, people have become not only not effective as immune cells, but have become aspiring cancer cells.
